Ingredients:
1/3 cupVegetable oil
1/3 cupBrown sugar -- packed
1/4 cupMolasses
6 ozFrozen Orange Juice
Concentrate
2 cupFlour -- see note
1 tspBaking soda
1 tspGround cinnamon
1/2 tspGround ginger
1/2 cupRolled oats
1/2 cupRaisins -- chopped
1/2 cupDried apricots -- chopped
1/2 cupSunflower seeds
1/2 cupWheat germ
2 tbspSesame seeds
Procedures:
1Preheat oven to 350°F.
2Cream the oil, brown sugar, and molasses together in a bowl.
3Add the defrosted unsweetened orange juice concentrate.
4Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and ginger.
5Blend into the creamed mixture.
6Stir in the oats, raisins, apricots, sunflower seeds, wheat germ, and sesame seeds.
7This makes a very stiff batter.
8Spread in a greased 9 x 13 pan.
9Bake about 20-30 minutes or until light brown.
10Cut into bars.
11These are more like a dense cake than commercial granola bars.
