Ingredients:
1 3-pound rack pork spareribs
2 tbspButter or margarine
1 medOnion, finely chopped
2 Garlic cloves, minced
1 can(15 oz.) tomato sauce
2/3 cupCider vinegar
2/3 cupFirmly packed brown sugar
2 tbspChili powder
1 tbspPrepared mustard
1/2 tspPepper
Procedures:
1These ribs are topped with a spicy sauce to pack a powerful flavor punch.
2A cool salad or creamy cole slaw makes a perfect complement.
3Melt butter in a large skillet over low heat; add onion and garlic, and saute until tender.
4Add remaining ingredients, except ribs, and bring to a boil.
5Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
6Place ribs on grill, meatiest side down, about 6 inches above low coals, or over indirect heat (banked coals).
7Close grill hood.
8Cook for 20 minutes; turn.
9Cook for 45 minutes.
10Baste with sauce, close grill and cook 10 minutes.
11Turn ribs, baste and cook 10 minutes more.
12Serves Preparation time: 20 minutes.
