Speedy corn chowder

Ingredients:
2 sliceBacon, cut small pieces
1 largeOnion, chopped (1 cup)
1 canChicken broth, (13 ?ozs)
4 cupCorn, fresh kernels-6 ears
1 pintHalf and half
3/4 tspSalt
1/2 tspWhite pepper
2 tbspParsley, chopped
Procedures:
1Saute bacon in large saucepan until crisp.
2Remove bacon with slotted spoon to paper toweling to drain; reserve.
3Add onion to saucepan; saute, stirring often, until softened, about 5 minutes.
4Meanwhile, pare potatoes.
5Cut into ?inch cubes.
6Add to onion along with chicken broth.
7Bring to boiling.
8Lower heat; cover and simmer 15 minutes.
9Add corn.
10Cook 5 more minutes or until potatoes and corn are tender.
11Stir in half-and-half, salt and pepper.
12Gently heat to serving temperature.
13Ladle chowder into soup plates.
14Sprinkle with bacon and parsley.
