Southwestern three bean soup

Ingredients:
1/2 medOnion, red, diced
1 medCarrot, diced
2 smallParsnips, diced
1 1/4 cupWater
1 cupKidney beans, drained
1 cupChickpeas, drained
1 cupBaby limas, frozen
4 cupPeeled tomatoes, canned
1 cupVegetable stock
1 tspCumin, ground
2 tspChili powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Procedures:
1Place onion, carrot, parsnips, and ?c water in a large saucepan.
2Saute 5 min. add kidney beanns, chick peas, lima beans, stock, remaining water, cumin and chili powder.
3Break up tomatoes with a spoon or knife and bring to a simmer.
4Simmer 20 min. add salt and pepper to taste.
