Ingredients:
| 1/2
| lbs | Bacon, cut into 1 in pieces | | 2
| | Onions, sliced, small | | 1
| tbsp | Flour, all purpose | | 1
| cup | Water | | 2
| cup | Raw potato, finely diced | | 1/2
| cup | Celery, chopped | | 2
| | Bay leaves | | 2
| lbs | Corn, cans cream style | | 1
| cup | Milk | | 1
| tsp | Salt | | 1/4
| tsp | White pepper |

Procedures:
| 1 | Fry bacon until crisp, drain on absorbent paper and set aside. | | 2 | Reserve ?cup bacon drippings and place in a kettle. | | 3 | Saute onion in bacon drippings for about 5 minutes. | | 4 | Blend in flour and mix to a smooth paste. | | 5 | Gradually add the water and stir until smooth. | | 6 | Add the potatoes, celery and bay leaves. | | 7 | Cover and cook over low heat for about 15 minutes or until potatoes are done. | | 8 | Stir occasionally. | | 9 | Blend in corn, milk, seasonings and bacon. | | 10 | Heat for 15 minutes. | | 11 | Serve hot. | | 12 | Yield: 5 to 6 servings. |
