Black bean soup (sopa de frijol)

Ingredients:
3 cupFrijoles(black beans already
Cooked, or canned)
2 cup-3 water
4 sliceBacon, chopped
1/3 cupFinely chopped onion
1 Sprig epazote (not sure what
That is)
1 tbspDried oregano
Salt
Procedures:
1In blender, puree the frijoles with 2 cups water.
2Brown the bacon in a large saucepan without adding oil.
3When the fat has cooked off, remove bacon and set aside.
4Saute the onion in the bacon fat until transparent, then add the bean puree.
5Cook, stirring contantly, until mixture comes to a boil, then lower the heat and add the epazote and the oregano.
6Add salt to taste and cook, coverd for 10 mins.
7If the soup is too thick add the reamaining 1 cup water.
8For garnish...fry 4 day old corn tortillas in oil in fry pan, drain and cut strips, and add a dollop of sour cream and a slice of lime to the bowl of soup.
