Ingredients:
| 3
| cup | Frijoles(black beans already | | | Cooked, or canned) | | 2
| cup | -3 water | | 4
| slice | Bacon, chopped | | 1/3
| cup | Finely chopped onion | | 1
| | Sprig epazote (not sure what | | | That is) | | 1
| tbsp | Dried oregano | | | Salt |

Procedures:
| 1 | In blender, puree the frijoles with 2 cups water. | | 2 | Brown the bacon in a large saucepan without adding oil. | | 3 | When the fat has cooked off, remove bacon and set aside. | | 4 | Saute the onion in the bacon fat until transparent, then add the bean puree. | | 5 | Cook, stirring contantly, until mixture comes to a boil, then lower the heat and add the epazote and the oregano. | | 6 | Add salt to taste and cook, coverd for 10 mins. | | 7 | If the soup is too thick add the reamaining 1 cup water. | | 8 | For garnish...fry 4 day old corn tortillas in oil in fry pan, drain and cut strips, and add a dollop of sour cream and a slice of lime to the bowl of soup. | | 9 | Miss mimsy |
