Slovak sauerkraut soup

Ingredients:
4 1/2 cupWater
4 medPotatoes, peeled & cubed
1/2 tspSalt
1/2 lbsSmoked sausage links, cut up
1 canSauerkraut (16 oz.), well
-rinsed
1 medOnion, chopped
1 clGarlic, minced
1 Fresh dill, finely minced
--- or 1 tsp. dried
Dillweed
1/4 tspCaraway seed, (or more to
-taste)
1 cupSour cream
1 Flour
Procedures:
1In large kettle bring water, potatoes, and ?tsp. salt to boiling; cook, covered, over med. heat till tender.
2Add sausage, a 16 oz. can of sauerkraut rinsed very well in cold water, onion, garlic, dill and caraway.
3Bring to boil.
4In a small bowl mix sour cream and flour.
5Gradually stir in about 1 cup of the hot mixture; stir all into kettle.
6Blend well.
7Heat through, but do not boil.
8Season to taste with salt and pepper; add a few tsp. of sugar to cut tartness.
9(taste after each tsp. of sugar is added.
10I think i used 5 or 6 but i"m not sure.
