Ingredients:
1/2 cupSugar
3/4 cupMargarine or butter, softene
1 Egg
2 cupAll-purpose flour*
1/2 cupGround pecans
1/4 cupApricot jam
1 pack(6 ounces) semisweet
-Chocolate chips
2 tbspShortening
Procedures:
1*self-rising flour can be used in this recipe.
2Mix sugar, margarine and egg.
3Stir in flour and pecans.
4Shape into roll 12 inches long.
5Wrap and refrigerate at least 4 hours or until firm.heat oven to 350 degrees.
6Cut roll into ?inch slices.
7Place about 1-inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
8Bake about 15 minutes or until light golden brown; cool.
9Put ?teaspoon jam between 2 cookies to form sandwich.
10Heat chocolate chips and shortening over low heat until melted.
11Dip about half of each cookie sandwich into chocolate mixture.
12About 2 dozen cookies; 210 calories per cookie
