Ingredients:
2 tbspSoy sauce
1 tbspShao Hsing wine
2 tspCornstarch
2 tspVegetable oil
3/4 lbsBeef steak, thinly sliced
Orange Sauce:
1/4 cupThawed undiluted frozen
Orange juice concentrate
1 tbspSugar
1 tbspSoy sauce
2 tbspVegetable oil
5 Thin slices fresh ginger
1 tspCornstarch mixed with water
Marinade:
Orange slices for garnish
Procedures:
1Place a wok or wide frying pan over high heat until hot.
2Add oil, swirling to coat sides.
3Add ginger slices and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 5 seconds.
4Add beef and stir-fry for 2 minutes or until barely pink.
5Add sauce and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
6Add cornstarch solution and cook, stirring, until sauce boils and thickens.
7Garnish with orange slices.
8[personal note: this would probably be quite pretty with thin orange peel curls, rather than, or in addition to, orange slices.]
