One, two, three, four, five (chinese pork stew)

Ingredients:
1 lbsPork spareribs , cut in half
3 tbspSugar
8 Green onions , 4 to 5
-inches long
1/4 cupSoy sauce
1 tbspRice wine , or dry sherry
5 tbspWater
2 tbspRice vinegar , or white vine

Procedures:

2Put the green onions in the bottom of a large saucepan.
3Place the spareribs on top of the green onions.
4Add the wine, vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, and water.
5Cover and bring to a boil over high heat then reduce heat to low.
6Cook about 2 hours, then serve hot.
7Makes about 4 servings.
8Note: ----- this recipe is really nice, and good for weekends.
9I suggest you serve it with white rice to soak up all the liquid.
10I think the name is supposed to indicate how simple it is - it"s from an old chinese cookbook.
