Ingredients:

| oz | Dried mushrooms | | 2
| tbsp | Cooking oil | | 1
| each | Green onion, chopped | | 1
| tsp | Garlic, chopped | | 1
| tsp | Ginger, chopped | | 1
| tbsp | Soy sauce | | 1
| tsp | Brown sugar | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 1
| liter | Stock |

Procedures:
| 1 | Soak mushrooms in water for 20 minutes. | | 2 | Separate stem from caps & discard stems. | | 3 | Heat oil in a soup pot & fry onion, garlic & ginger for 2 minutes. | | 4 | Add soy sauce, sugar & salt. | | 5 | Mix together well. | | 6 | Pour in stock & simmer gently with the lid on for 30 minutes. | | 7 | Jack santa maria, "chinese vegetarian cookery" |
