Ingredients:
4 quartWater
3/4 cupCelery, chopped
3/4 cupOnion, chopped
2 Garlic cloves, chopped
1 cupCarrots, sliced
2 cupPotatoes, diced
2 tbspCanola oil
1/2 cupTomato paste
1/2 cupGreen pepper, diced
1 cupMixed vegetables *
1/2 tbspSweet basil
Salt & pepper to taste
1/2 cupMacaroni
1/2 cupPot barley
2 cupChicken, beef, ham (leftovers
2 cupCoarsely chopped cabbage
1 Tomato, chopped
Procedures:
1In a soup pot saute the celery, onion and garlic in oil for 5 minutes.
2Add water, vegetables, pot barley, meats, seasonings.
3Bring to the boil and simmer for 1 ?hours.
4For last ?hour add cabbage and macaroni.
