Ingredients:
1/2 lbsPotatoes
1 eachParsley sprig
1/4 lbsCarrots
1 eachCelery leaf
1/4 lbsParsnips
2 ozOnions
1/4 lbsTurnips
2 tbspOil
1/2 tbspAll purpose flour
DUMPLINGS
2 tbspOil
4 tbspWholewheat flour
1/4 cupWholewheat breadcrumbs
1/4 cupFinely chopped walnuts
Procedures:
1Cut peeled & washed vegetables into small cubes.
2Combine oil & 1 ?cups of vegetables.
3Cook till ight brown.
4Add flour & mix well.
5Add a pint of water & the rest of the vegetables.
6Cook slowly for about 90 minutes.
7Season to taste & serve with the dumplings.
8Dumplings: work oil into flour, crumbs & nuts.
9Add enough water to make a stiff dough.
10Roll & cut into walnut sized pieces.
11Cook for 25 minutes in rapidly boiling water.
