| large | Slices thin onions | | 1/2
| cup | Sliced mushrooms | | 1/2
| cup | Sliced water chestnuts | | 28
| oz | Drained bean sprouts | | 1/2
| cup | Bamboo shoots | | 2
| tbsp | Cornstarch | | 2
| cup | Cooked chicken cut in | | | -large bite sized pieces | | 4
| large | Celery stalks | | 2
| tbsp | Cooking oil | | 2
| cup | Chicken broth | | 1
| tbsp | Soy sauce | | | Ground pepper | | | Chinese noodles | | | Cooked rice |

Procedures:
| 1 | Split celery stalks, cut diagonally in 1 inch pieces. | | 2 | In a large skillet, heat oil and cook onions until slightly soft. | | 3 | Add celery, mushrooms and 1 ?cup chicken broth. | | 4 | Cook over low heat for 10 minutes, stirring a few times. | | 5 | Add water chestnuts, bean sprouts and bamboo shoots. | | 6 | In a small bowl, make a mixture of cornstarch, soy sauce and ?cup chicken broth and stir until smooth. | | 7 | Add mixture to the large skillet, along with the cooked meat. | | 8 | Add freshly ground pepper and mix well. | | 9 | Simmer for 10 minutes. | | 10 | Taste for seasoning, may want to add additional soy sauce. |
