Peanut-pecan chocolate chip cookies

Ingredients:
1/4 lbsButter
1/4 cupVegetable shortening
2 tbspPeanut butter
1/2 cupSugar
1/2 cupBrown sugar, firmly packed
1 Egg
1 tspVanilla
1 3/4 cupFlour, all-purpose, sifted
1/2 tspBaking soda
1/2 cupPecans, chopped
1 packChocolate pieces, semisweet
1 Preheat oven to 375'F.
Procedures:
1Mix butter, shortening, and peanut butter until soft and fluffy.
2Stir in sugars, egg, and vanilla; stir in dry ingredients; fold in pecans and chocolate pieces.
3Drop by teaspoons on ungreased cookie sheets about 2" apart.
4Bake in a preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until edges of cookies are lightly browned.
5Cool cookies for 5 minutes on cookie sheet before removing them and cooling them on a rack.
