Ingredients:

| lbs | Butter | | 1/4
| cup | Vegetable shortening | | 2
| tbsp | Peanut butter | | 1/2
| cup | Sugar | | 1/2
| cup | Brown sugar, firmly packed | | 1
| | Egg | | 1
| tsp | Vanilla | | 1 3/4
| cup | Flour, all-purpose, sifted | | 1/2
| tsp | Baking soda | | 1/2
| cup | Pecans, chopped | | 1
| pack | Chocolate pieces, semisweet | | 1
| | Preheat oven to 375'F. |

Procedures:
| 1 | Mix butter, shortening, and peanut butter until soft and fluffy. | | 2 | Stir in sugars, egg, and vanilla; stir in dry ingredients; fold in pecans and chocolate pieces. | | 3 | Drop by teaspoons on ungreased cookie sheets about 2" apart. | | 4 | Bake in a preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until edges of cookies are lightly browned. | | 5 | Cool cookies for 5 minutes on cookie sheet before removing them and cooling them on a rack. |
