| 1 | Heat oven to 375 °Fahrenheit. |
| 2 | Grease 9-inch square baking pan. |
| 3 | Stir together flour, sugar and baking powder; with pastry blender or fork, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. |
| 4 | Add egg; blend well. |
| 5 | Reserve half of mixture; press remaining mixture onto bottom of prepared pan. |
| 6 | Spread jelly evenly over crust. |
| 7 | Sprinkle 1 cup peanut butter chips over jelly. |
| 8 | Stir together remaining crumb mixture with remaining 2/3 cup chips; sprinkle over top. |
| 9 | Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned. |
| 10 | Cool completely in pan on wire rack. |
| 11 | Cut into bars. |
| 12 | About 16 bars. |
