Ingredients:
| 8
| oz | Candy caramels, light | | 5
| tbsp | Light cream | | 1
| cup | All-purpose flour | | 1
| cup | Oats -- quick rolled | | 1/2
| cup | Pecans -- chopped | | 1/2
| tsp | Baking soda | | | Sugar | | 3/4
| cup | Margarine -- melted | | 1/4
| tsp | Salt | | 6
| oz | Pk semisweet chocolate chips |

Procedures:
| 1 | Melt caramels in cream in top of double boiler. | | 2 | Cool slightly. | | 3 | Set aside. | | 4 | Heat oven to 350^. | | 5 | Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. | | 6 | Combine flour with remaining ingredients except chocolate chips and pecans. | | 7 | Press ?of crumbs in bottom of ungreased 11x7-inch or 9 inch square pan. | | 8 | Bake for 10 minutes. | | 9 | Remove from oven. | | 10 | Sprinkle with chocolate chips and pecans. | | 11 | Spread carefully with caramel mixture. | | 12 | Bake for 15-20 minutes longer until golden brown. | | 13 | Chill 1-2 hours. | | 14 | Cut into bars. | | 15 | recipe by : more than sandwiches |
