Ingredients:
8 ozCandy caramels, light
5 tbspLight cream
1 cupAll-purpose flour
1 cupOats -- quick rolled
1/2 cupPecans -- chopped
1/2 tspBaking soda
Sugar
3/4 cupMargarine -- melted
1/4 tspSalt
6 ozPk semisweet chocolate chips
Procedures:
1Melt caramels in cream in top of double boiler.
2Cool slightly.
3Set aside.
4Heat oven to 350^.
5Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
6Combine flour with remaining ingredients except chocolate chips and pecans.
7Press ?of crumbs in bottom of ungreased 11x7-inch or 9 inch square pan.
8Bake for 10 minutes.
9Remove from oven.
10Sprinkle with chocolate chips and pecans.
11Spread carefully with caramel mixture.
12Bake for 15-20 minutes longer until golden brown.
13Chill 1-2 hours.
14Cut into bars.
