Grilled steaks and tomatoes with basil-garlic bread

Ingredients:
2 Beef T-bone steakes
-OR- Porterhouse steaks
-- cut 1 inch thick
3 tbspOlive oil
1 tspDried basil leaves
1/2 tspGarlic powder
1 Loaf (8 oz.) French bread
6 Tomato slices, ? thick
2 tbspGrated Parmesan cheese
Procedures:
1Preparation time: 25 min. Combine oil, basil and garlic powder; reserve.
2Place beef steaks on grid over medium coals.
3Grill steaks 10 to 17 minutes for rare (140°F) to medium (160°F), turning once.
4Season with salt and pepper, if desired.
5Meanwhile cut bread in half lengthwise; brush 1 ?tablespoons basil mixture evenly on cut side of bread.
6Brush remaining basil mixture on one side of each tomato slice.
7About five minutes before steaks are done, place bread, cut-side down, and tomatoes on grid with steaks; grill 2 to 3 minutes.
8Turn bread and tomatoes over; sprinkle with paremesan cheese.
9Continue grilling 1 to 3 minutes or until bread is golden brown and tomatoes are just heated through.
10Cut bread diagonally into slices.
11Carve steaks into thick slices.
12Serve with bread and tomato slices.
