Ingredients:

| cup | Flour, all purpose | | 1/2
| cup | Ground almonds | | 1/2
| tsp | Baking powder | | 1/4
| tsp | -Salt | | 1/2
| tsp | Ground cinnamon | | 3/4
| cup | Butter, unsalted, softened | | 3/4
| cup | Sugar, white | | 2
| | Egg yolks | | 1
| tsp | Vanilla extract | | 1
| tsp | Almond extract | | | FILLING | | 1/2
| cup | Raspberry jam | | 1
| tsp | Lemon peel, grated | | | -?of a medium lemon | | | TOPPING | | 1/4
| cup | Sugar, confectioner's | | 1/2
| cup | Sliced almonds |

Procedures:
| 1 | Preheat oven to 300°F. | | 2 | In medium bowl, combine flour, almonds, baking powder, salt and cinnamon and wire whisk. | | 3 | In large bowl with an electric mixer cream butter and sugar. | | 4 | Add egg yolks, the vanilla and almonds extracts, and beat at medium heat until light and fluffy. | | 5 | Add the flour mixture and blend at low speed until just combined. | | 6 | Do not overmix. | | 7 | Roll dough into 1 ?inch balls. | | 8 | Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. | | 9 | With index fingers press an indentation in centre of each ball to hold filling. | | 10 | Bake 22-24 minutes or just until golden brown on bottom. | | 11 | Transfer cookies to cool, flat surface with spatula. | | 12 | In a small bowl combine jam and grated lemon peel. | | 13 | Place ?teaspoon of filling mixing in centre of each cooled cookie. | | 14 | If you wish to add an extra decorative touch, sift confectioner"s sugar over cookies and place sliced almonds in the jam filling. |
