Mrs fields chocolate raisin cookies

Ingredients:
1 cupBUTTER, DIVIDED
2 ozUNSWEETENED BAKING CHOCOLATE
2 1/4 cupFLOUR
1/2 tspSODA
1/4 tspSALT
1 cupDARK BROWN SUGAR, PACKED
1/2 cupSUGAR
2 largeEGGS
2 tspVANILLA EXTRACT
1 1/2 cupRAISINS
1 cupSEMISWEET CHOCOLATE CHIPS
Procedures:
1Preheat oven to 300°F.
2In a double-boiler over hot but not boiling water, melt ?cup butter and the chocolat.
3Remove from heat and set aside.
4In medium bowl, combine flour, soda and salt.
5In a large bowl with an electric mixer blend sugars at medium speed until fluffy.
6Add the remaining ?cup butter and mix to form a grainy paste, scraping down the sides of the bowl.
7Add eggs and vanilla, and beat at medium speed until light and fluffy.
8Add melted chocolate and blend until thoroughly combined.
9Add the flour mixture, raisins and chocolate chips.
10Blend just until combined.
11Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets 2 inches apart.
12Bake for 20-22 min or until set.
13Transfer to cool, flat surface immediately with a spatula.
