| 1 | Preheat oven to 300°F. |
| 2 | In a double-boiler over hot but not boiling water, melt ?cup butter and the chocolat. |
| 3 | Remove from heat and set aside. |
| 4 | In medium bowl, combine flour, soda and salt. |
| 5 | In a large bowl with an electric mixer blend sugars at medium speed until fluffy. |
| 6 | Add the remaining ?cup butter and mix to form a grainy paste, scraping down the sides of the bowl. |
| 7 | Add eggs and vanilla, and beat at medium speed until light and fluffy. |
| 8 | Add melted chocolate and blend until thoroughly combined. |
| 9 | Add the flour mixture, raisins and chocolate chips. |
| 10 | Blend just until combined. |
| 11 | Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets 2 inches apart. |
| 12 | Bake for 20-22 min or until set. |
| 13 | Transfer to cool, flat surface immediately with a spatula. |
