Ingredients:

| cup | Quick oats | | 1 1/2
| cup | Flour | | 1
| tsp | Baking powder | | 1/2
| tsp | Soda | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 1
| tsp | Cinnamon | | 1/2
| tsp | Nutmeg | | 1
| cup | Lt brown sugar, packed | | 1/2
| cup | Sugar | | 1/2
| cup | Butter, softened | | 1
| large | Egg | | 3/4
| cup | Applesauce | | 1
| cup | Semisweet chocolate chips | | 1
| cup | Raisins | | 1
| cup | Chopped walnuts |

Procedures:
| 1 | Preheat oven to 375°F. | | 2 | In a medium bowl combine oats, flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. | | 3 | Mix well with a wire whisk and set aside. | | 4 | In a large bowl combine sugars with an electric mixer at medium speed. | | 5 | Add butter and beat to form a grainy paste. | | 6 | Add egg and applesauce, and blend until smooth. | | 7 | Add the flour mixture, chocolate chips, raisins and walnuts. | | 8 | Blend at low speed just until combined. | | 9 | Drop dough by tablespoons onto lightly greased baking sheets, 2 inches apart. | | 10 | Bake 12-14 minutes or until light brown. | | 11 | Immediately transfer cookies with a spatula to a cool flat surface. |
