| 1 | In a large bowl combine flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, salt and melted butter. |
| 2 | Blend well to form crumbly mixture. |
| 3 | Press half the mixture into bottom of a 9 x 13 pan. |
| 4 | Bake at 350 deg f. for 10 minutes. |
| 5 | Remove and sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. |
| 6 | Combine caramel topping and 3 t flour. |
| 7 | Pour evenly over chips. |
| 8 | Sprinkle with the remaining oat mixture and bake for 20 to 25 minutes. |
| 9 | Cool competely before cutting into bars. |
| 10 | Bake at 350 deg f. for a total of 30 to 35 minutes. |
| 11 | Makes 24 bars |
