Mother's rum dainties (christmas)

Ingredients:
1 cupPowdered sugar
3 tbspKaro syrup, white
2 1/3 tbspCocoa
3 cupVanilla wafers, crushed
1 cupPecans, chopped fine
3/4 ozRum
Procedures:
1To make crumbs, put wafers in plastic bag and roll with rolling pin.
2Pour into bowl and mix above ingredients, adding rum last.
3Shape into balls about 1" in diameter.
4Roll in powdered sugar and chill.
5This mixture is sticky, so keep finger and palms of hands dusted with 4x sugar while shaping cookies.
6Store in tin box between layers of wax paper.
