Ingredients:

| cup | Butter Or Margarine, Softened | | 1/2
| cup | Brown Sugar, Packed | | 1/2
| cup | Molasses | | 1
| each | Egg, Large | | 1 1/2
| cup | Flour, Unbleached | | 1 1/2
| tbsp | Baking Powder | | 1
| tbsp | Ginger, Ground | | 1/2
| tbsp | Salt | | 1/4
| tbsp | Baking Soda | | 1/3
| cup | Water | | 1/2
| cup | Raisins | | | TOPPING | | 1
| x | Powdered Sugar |

Procedures:
| 1 | In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter or margarine and brown sugar till mixture is light and fluffy. | | 2 | Add molasses and egg; beat well. | | 3 | Thoroughly blend flour, baking powder, ginger, salt and baking soda. | | 4 | Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with water; mix well. | | 5 | Stir in raisins. | | 6 | Pour mixture into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. | | 7 | Bake at 350 °F for 20 to 25 minutes. | | 8 | Cool thoroughly; sift powdered sugar on the top and cut into bars. | | 9 | Makes 36 bars. |
