Molasses snaps

Ingredients:
1/4 cupCooking oil
2/5 cupSugar
1/2 cupSmoothly beaten cooked
Potatoes
1/4 cupMolasses
1 cupSifted flour
1/2 tspSoda
3/4 tspGinger
3/4 tspCinnamon
1/4 tspSalt
Procedures:
1Cream together oil and sugar.
2Add potatoes and continue creaming.
3Mix in molasses.
4Sift together the flour, soda, spices, and salt.
5Stir into the first mixture.
6Drop the batter by tablespoonfuls onto greased baking sheets.
7Flatten to a thickness of 1/8 inch, using a greased flat bottomed glass.
8Bake at 350 degrees until the cookies are lightly browned, about 15 minutes.
9Remove from the baking sheet and cool.
10Makes about 30 cookies.
