| 1 | Heat oven to 350 degrees. |
| 2 | Lightly grease cookie sheet. |
| 3 | Stir together flour, walnuts, cinnamon and lemon peel. |
| 4 | Beat granulated sugar and margarine in large bowl on medium speed until creamy. |
| 5 | Beat in egg and vanilla until fluffy. |
| 6 | Gradually stir in flour mixture. |
| 7 | Shape dough into 1 inch balls. |
| 8 | Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. |
| 9 | Press thumb in center of each to make indentation. |
| 10 | Fill each indentation with ?teaspoon jam. |
| 11 | Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown around edges. |
| 12 | Immediately remove from cookie sheet; cool completely. |
| 13 | Sprinkle with powdered sugar. |
