Ingredients:

| cup | Butter | | 1/2
| cup | Brown sugar | | 1/2
| cup | White sugar | | 1
| | Egg | | 1/2
| tsp | Vanilla | | 1
| cup | + 2 T all-purpose flour | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 1/2
| tsp | Baking soda | | 4
| oz | Candied papaya, chopped | | 4
| oz | Candied mango, chopped | | 4
| oz | Candied pineapple, chopped | | 4
| oz | Dried apricot, chopped | | 8
| oz | Chopped Macadamia nuts | | 8
| oz | White chocolate chunks |

Procedures:
| 1 | A taste of the tropics in every bite! | | 2 | preheat oven to 375? | | 3 | in a large bowl, cream butter. | | 4 | Gradually add brown and white sugars and beat until creamy. | | 5 | Beat in egg and vanilla. | | 6 | sift and stir in flour, salt and baking soda. | | 7 | Fold in candied fruits, nuts and white chocolate. | | 8 | drop batter by teaspoonfuls, well apart, on a greased cookie sheet. | | 9 | Bake at 375?for about 8-10 minutes. | | 10 | Remove to wire racks and let cool. | | 11 | note: if you can"t purchase all of the candied fruits, use what you have on hand-it will still be scrumptious. | | 12 | yield: 2 ?- 3 dozen. | | 13 | Larry rosenberg, author of muffins & cupcakes (published by the american cooking guild), fairview, nj. | | 14 | randy shearer |
