Ingredients:

| cup | Brown sugar | | 1/2
| cup | Honey | | 3/4
| cup | Shortening | | 1
| | Egg | | 1
| tsp | Vanilla | | 1 1/4
| cup | Flour | | 1/2
| tsp | Baking soda | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 3
| cup | Oats, rolled (raw) |

Procedures:
| 1 | Beat sugar, honey, shortening, egg and vanilla together. | | 2 | Sift together flour, salt and soda and add to creamed mixture. | | 3 | Stir in oats. | | 4 | Drop by spoon onto greased cookie sheet. | | 5 | Bake in preheated oven 350f until lightly browned. | | 6 | For variety add nuts, raisins or chocolate chips. | | 7 | recipe by : memphis area beekeepers |
