Ingredients:

| cup | Vegetable shortening | | 1/3
| cup | Liquid honey | | 2
| | Eggs | | 1 1/4
| cup | Sifted all-purpose flour | | 1/2
| tsp | Ground nutmeg | | 1/2
| tsp | Baking powder | | 1/4
| tsp | Baking soda | | 1/4
| tsp | Salt | | 2/3
| cup | Seedless raisins | | 1/4
| tsp | Vanilla |

Procedures:
| 1 | Preheat oven to 350°F. | | 2 | Cream the shortening and honey thoroughly. | | 3 | Add the eggs and beat until well mixed. | | 4 | Sift together the flour, nutmeg, baking powder, soda and salt, then stir into the honey mixture. | | 5 | Stir in raisins and vanilla. | | 6 | Drop the batter by tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets, spacing 2 inches apart. | | 7 | Bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown. | | 8 | Cool the cookies for about a minute on the baking sheets, then lift to wire racks to cool. | | 9 | jean anderson | | 10 | prodigy guest chefs cookbook |
