Ingredients:
1 packFrozen phyllo (1 lb)
1 cupButter, melted
12 ozChocolate pieces
2 tspOrange peel, finely shredded
2 tbspShortening
1 tspCinnamon
1/2 tspNutmeg
1 cupFinely chopped nuts
Procedures:
1Thaw phyllo according to pkg directions.
2Cut roll of dough in paper wrapper into fifths.
3Rewrap 4 pieces in damp towels.
4Unroll 1 piece of phyllo; discard paper.
5Cut in half crosswise.
6Brush 1 piece with melted butter.
7Top with second sheet; brush with butter.
8Repeat with third sheet.
9Fold sheets accordion-style into ?inch folds.
10Pinch folds together at one end; spread folds apart at the other end, forming fan.
11Place on ungreased baking sheet.
12Repeat with remainder of first phyllo portion.
13Bake, 6 at a time, in 375 degree oven about 5 minutes or till golden brown.
14Remove; cool.
15Repeat with remaining phyllo, 1 portion at a time, keeping phyllo wrapped till used.
16Melt chocolate over low heat; stir in peel, shortening, and spices.
17Dip wide end of each fan about ?inch into chocolate; dip into nuts.
18Place on rack to harden chocolate.
