Hazelnut meringues

Ingredients:
4 Egg, whites at room temp.
8 tbspSugar
1/4 cupFinely chopped hazelnuts +
1 tablespoon
Procedures:
1Preheat oven to 250 deg.
2Line 2 large cookie sheets with wax paper or parchment.
3In small bowl of electric mixer, (hand mixer works fine) whisk whites until they peak softly.
4Beat in sugar, 2 tabls.
5At a time and continue until mixture is stiff and shiny.
6Quickly fold in ?cup chopped hazelnuts.
7Drop by tablespoons onto prepared cookie sheets.
8Sprinkle the remaining tablespoons of nuts.
9Bake in preheated oven for 3 hours until dry.
10Makes 24.
