Hawaiian chocolate chip cookies

Ingredients:
1 cupButter-flavored shortening
3/4 cupSugar
3/4 cupBrown sugar
1 Egg
1 tspVanilla
1 1/2 cupFlour
1 tspBaking powder
1 tspBaking soda
1/8 tspSalt
2 cupQuick oats
1 cupShredded coconut
1 cupMacadamia nut bits
1 cupSemi-sweet chocolate pieces
Procedures:
1Preheat electric oven to 325°F.
2In large bowl of electric mixer, cream shortening and sugars until light and fluffy.
3Add egg and vanilla; beat well.
4Sift flour with baking powder, baking soda, and salt; gradually mix into creamed mixture.
5Stir in remaining ingredients.
6Shape into 1-?inch balls.
7Place on ungreased baking sheets and flatten with the bottom of a glass dipped in flour.
8Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
9Makes 3 dozen large cookies.
