Ingredients:
4 Eggs
2 cupHoney
3 cupSifted, all-purpose flour
1 tspCloves
1/2 cupCandied orange peel
1/4 cupCitron
2 cupSugar
2 1/2 cupAlmonds, crushed
1/2 tspSoda
1 tspCinnamon
1/2 cupCandied lemon peel
Procedures:
1Beat eggs, add sugar and beat until fluffy, add honey and almonds and stir just enough to mix.
2Sift together, flour, soda and spices, add fruit cut into paper thin strips and mix.
3Combine the 2 mixtures and refrigerate to chill.
4Preheat oven to 350°F.
5Spread mixture ? thick on a buttered cookie sheet and bake 30 minutes.
6Cool slightly and cut into desired shapes
