German gingerbread cookies

Ingredients:
3/4 cupSoft margarine
1/2 cupBrown sugar
2 tspGinger
1/2 tspSalt
1 tspCinnamon
1/4 tspGround cloves
1 Egg
3/4 cupMolasses
3 cupFlour
1 tspBaking soda
1/2 tspBaking powder
Procedures:
1Mix all ingredients together well.
2Make balls of dough the size of walnuts, and place them on a greased cookie sheet 3-4" apart.
3Flatten with a glass dipped in sugar.
4Bake at 325°F for 6-8 minutes.
5Or, if you like, refrigerate overnight.
6Roll out cold dough for cookie shapes cut with cookie cutters.
7If dough is sticky, add flour.
