| tbsp | Baking powder | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 2
| tsp | Pumpkin pie spice | | 1
| cup | Walnuts, chopped | | 1
| | Maple frosting recipe | | 1/4
| cup | Butter/margarine, softened | | 2 1/4
| cup | Powdered sugar, sifted | | 2
| tbsp | Milk | | 3/4
| tsp | Maple extract |

Procedures:
| 1 | Cked cream butter; gradually add brown sugar, beating well at medium speed of an electric mixer. | | 2 | Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. | | 3 | Stir in pumpkin and flavorings. | | 4 | Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and pumpkin pie spice. | | 5 | Gradually add to creamed mixture, mixing well. | | 6 | Stir in walnuts. | | 7 | Drop dough by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheets. | | 8 | Bake at 375f for 12 minutes. | | 9 | Cool on wire racks. | | 10 | Frost with maple frosting. | | 11 | Yield: 7 ?dozen. | | 12 | (maple frosting) cream butter; gradually add 1 cup powdered sugar, beating well at medium speed of an electric mixer. | | 13 | Add remaining sugar alternately with milk, beating until smooth enough to spread. | | 14 | Add maple extract, and beat well. | | 15 | Yield: about 1 cup |
