Ingredients:
3/4 cupButter or margarine
1 3/4 cupGraham cracker crumbs
1/4 cupHershey's Cocoa
2 tbspSugar
14 ozSweetened condensed milk
- (not evaporated milk)
6 ozSemi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
-(Hershey's)
1 cupRaisins
-OR- chopped dried apricots
-OR- miniature marshmallows
1 cupChopped nuts
Procedures:
1Heat oven to 350 °Fahrenheit.
2Place butter in 13x9x2-inch baking pan.
3Heat in oven until melted; remove pan from oven.
4Stir together crumbs, cocoa and sugar; sprinkle evenly over butter.
5Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over crumb mixture.
6Sprinkle with chocolate chips and raisins.
7Sprinkle nuts on top; press down firmly.
8Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
9Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
10Cover with foil; let stand at room temperature 6 to 8 hours.
11Cut into bars.
12About 36 bars.
13variation:
14golden bars: substitute 1 cup reese"s peanut butter chips for chocolate chips.
15Sprinkle 1 cup golden raisins or chopped dried apricots over chips.
16Proceed as above.
