Ingredients:
2 cupBrown sugar, light - packed
1/8 tspSalt
1 cupShortening, ?butter/ ?/td>

4 cupFlour
1 tspBaking soda, level
2 tspVanilla
Filling:
1 cupBrown sugar, light - packed
1 cupWater
1 tbspFlour
1 cupNuts, chopped
1 1/2 cupRaisins, ground
1 tbspLemon juice
Procedures:
1Dough: cream sugar, salt and shortening.
2Beat in eggs and vanilla.
3Sift together dry ingredients.
4Add to creamed mixture.
5Filling: mix sugar and flour.
6Stir in water slowly.
7Add nuts and raisins.
8Cook until slightly thickened.
9Cool assembly: take two rounds of unbaked cookie dough and put a spoonful of filling in center of one cookie and put the second on top of the bottom one.
10Bake 350°F.
11About 12 to 15 minutes.
