Ingredients:
2 cupUnbleached All Purpose Flour
3/4 cupSugar
1/2 cupAlmonds, finely ground
1/2 tspBaking powder
1/2 tspBaking soda
1 tbspGrated Lemon Peel
3 tbspPoppy Seeds
1 Egg
2 Egg Whites
1 tspLemon extract
Procedures:
1Preheat oven to 350.
2Grease and flour (or use parchment paper), a large cookie sheet.
3Mix dry ingredients.
4Combine wet ingredients and mix with dry ingredients to form 2-15 inch logs.
5Bake 30 minutes.
6Cool slightly and cut diagonally in ?inch slices.
7Bake 8-10 minutes more til dry.
8Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
