| 1 | In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. |
| 2 | Beat in eggnog, baking soda and nutmeg. |
| 3 | Gradually add flour and mix well. |
| 4 | Cover and chill for 1 hour. |
| 5 | On a lighlty floured surface, roll out half of the dough to 1/8-in. |
| 6 | Thickness. |
| 7 | Cut into desired shapes; place on ungreased baking sheets. |
| 8 | Repeat with remaining dough. |
| 9 | Brush with egg white; sprinkle with colored sugar. |
| 10 | Bake at 350°F for 6-8 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. |
| 11 | Cool on wire racks. |
