Ingredients:
| 1
| cup | Pecans | | 1/2
| cup | Butter or margarine | | 1/2
| cup | +2T shortening | | 1
| cup | Confectioners' sugar | | 2 1/2
| cup | Sifted cake flour | | 2
| tsp | Vanilla extract |

Procedures:
| 1 | Chop pecans rather coarsely. | | 2 | Work or cream butter (margarine) and shortening together until smooth. | | 3 | Beat in the confectioners" powdered sugar gradually. | | 4 | Stir in the flour throughly and add vanilla and pecans. | | 5 | Mix well. | | 6 | Drop by teaspoonsful onto an ungreased baking sheet. | | 7 | Bake in 325 degree preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until they are a delicate, light brown. | | 8 | Makes 4 dozen. |
