Double-treat walnut cookies

Ingredients:
1 cupWhole-wheat flour
1/4 cupNonfat dry milk
1/4 cupWheat germ
1 tspSalt
1 tspBaking powder
1/4 tspCinnamon
3/4 cupShortening
1 1/4 cupPacked brown sugar
1 Egg
1/4 cupFrozen orange-juice
-concentrate, thawed
1 1/2 cupUncooked quick oats
1 cupChopped walnuts
1/2 cupChopped raisins
2 tbspGranulated sugar
Procedures:
1Stir together flour, milk, wheat germ, salt, baking powder and cinnamon; set aside.
2In large bowl cream shortening, brown sugar and egg until fluffy; add orange concentrate.
3Stir in flour mixture, then oats, walnuts, and raisins.
4Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls 4 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheets.
5Press with bottom of glass dipped in sugar to 3-?inch diameter.
6Bake in preheated 350 degree oven about 15 minutes or until cookie springs back when pressed lightly.
7Let stand 2 to 3 minutes.
8Remove to rack to cool completely.
