Ingredients:
2/3 cupButter or margarine
-- softened
1 cupSugar
1 Egg
1 tspVanilla extract
1/2 cupHERSHEY'S Cocoa
1/2 cupButtermilk or sour milk*
1 3/4 cupAll-purpose flour
1/2 tspBaking soda
1/2 tspSalt
1 cupHERSHEY'S MINI CHIPS
-(Semi-Sweet Chocolate)
Procedures:
1Heat oven to 350°F.
2In large bowl, beat butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until well blended.
3In small bowl, stir cocoa and buttermilk until smooth.
4Add to butter mixture; beat well.
5Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; add to butter mixture, beating just until blended.
6Stir in small chocolate chips.
7Drop dough by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
8Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until center of cookies is not quite set.
9Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
10Cool completely.
11About 3-?dozen cookies.
12* to sour milk: use 1-?teaspoons white vinegar plus milk to equal ?cup.
