Deep-fried wonton cookies

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cupChopped prunes
-(or chopped dried apples)
1 cupChopped dried apricots
1 1/2 cupBrown sugar, packed
1 1/2 cupFlaked coconut
1 cupChopped almonds
24 Wonton skins
Oil
Procedures:
1Mix together prunes, apricots, brown sugar, coconut and almonds.
2Place about 2 teaspoons mixture in center of each wonton skin.
3Moisten edges with water.
4Fold each skin in half to form triangle.
5Press edges firmly to seal.
6Cover to prevent drying.
7Heat oil (1 to 1 ?inches) to 360°F.
8Fry 3 to 4 wontons at a time, turning occasionally, until golden brown, about 1 minute on each side.
9Drain.
10Cool thoroughly and store in airtight container.
11Serve with ice cream or sherbet if desired.
