Ingredients:
1 lbsButter (no substitutes)
-softened
1 cupPacked brown sugar
4 cupAll-purpose flour, -4 ?/td>
-cups
Procedures:
1Recipe by: country woman magazine - july/august 19 in a mixing bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar.
2Add 3-?cups flour; mix well.
3Sprinkle a board with some of the remaining four.
4Knead for 5 minutes, adding enough remaining flour to make a soft, non-sticky dough.
5Roll to ? thickness.
6Cut into 3"x1" strips.
7Place 1" apart on ungreased baking sheets.
8Prick with a fork.
9Bake at 325 °F for 20-25 minutes or until cookies are lightly browned.
10Yield about 4 dozen
