Jane's rice pudding

Ingredients:
4 cupMilk
7 tbspUncooked long-grain white
-rice
1 Strip fresh lemon peel
=(1"x3")
1/3 cupGranulated sugar
2 tspVanilla
1/2 cupHeavy cream
1 Strip fresh orange peel
=(1" x 3")
Pinch of cinnamon
Procedures:
1Mix milk, rice, and peels in large saucepan.
2Bring to a boil.
3Reduce heat and simmer 25 minutes, stirring often, until mixture starts to thicken and starts to stick to bottom of pan.
4Reduce heat to very low and cook 5 to 10 minutes more.
5Add the sugar and stir 2 to 3 minutes until dissolved.
6Cool slightly before stirring in vanilla.
7Cover and refrigerate 2 hours.
8Stir in heavy cream.
9Top with cinnamon.
