| cup | Dry bread crumbs | | 1
| | Small onion grated | | 1
| tsp | Dried oregano | | 1/2
| tsp | Pepper | | 1/2
| tsp | Dijon mustard | | 1/4
| tsp | Salt | | 1
| lbs | Lean ground beef | | 1
| | Green pepper, chopped | | 1
| | Zucchini, chopped | | 1
| | Can Italian Style Stewed - | | | Tomatoes | | 1
| tbsp | Tomato paste | | 2
| tbsp | Freshly grated parmesan |

Procedures:
| 1 | In bowl, lightly beat egg; mix in bread crumbs, onion, oregano, ?tsp. of the pepper, the mustard and salt. | | 2 | Mix in beef. | | 3 | Shape into eight ?inch patties. | | 4 | In large nonstick skillet, cook patties over medium-high heat, turning once for about 5 minutes or until browned. | | 5 | Transfer to plate. | | 6 | drain off any fat from skillet. | | 7 | Add green pepper, zucchini, stewed tomatoes, tomato paste and remaining pepper; bring to a boil. | | 8 | nestle hamburgers in tomato mixture; reduce heat and simmer, turning patties occasionally, for about 12 minutes or until no longer pink inside and vegetables are tender-crisp. | | 9 | Serve sprinkled with cheese. | | 10 | Makes 4 servings. |
