1/2 cupCanning or pickling salt
4 cupWhite vinegar (5 percent)
4 cupWater
1 tspHot red pepper flakes

Procedures:

3In each sterile pint jar, place 1 to 2 dill heads and, if desired, 1 clove of garlic.
4Place whole beans upright in jars, leaving ?inch headspace.

7Bring to a boil.
8Add hot solution to beans, leaving ?inch headspace.
