Ingredients:
1/4 cupWater
1 tbspSoy Sauce
1 tspCornstarch
Dash Crushed Red Pepper
1 Med. Carrot *
2 tspWater
3 ozFrozen Pea Pods
2 tbspBroken Walnuts
1 tspButter or Margarine
Procedures:
1* medium carrot should be thinly sliced on a diagonal cut (bias).
2In a custard cup stir together ?c water, soy sauce, cornstarch, and crushed red pepper.
3Micro-cook, uncovered, on 100% power for 1 to 1 ?minutes or till thickened and bubbly, stirring every 30 seconds.
4Place the carrot in a 20-ounce casserole.
5Sprinkle with 2 t water.
6Micro-cook, covered, on 100% power for 2 ?minutes.
7Drain.
8Toss together carrot, pea pods, and walnuts; add butter or margarine.
9Micro-cook, covered, on 100% power about 1 ?minutes or till the vegetables are crisp-tender.
10Toss with the soy sauce mixture.
