| 1 | Preheat oven to 350! f. |
| 2 | Baste 13 x 9 inch shallow, stainless steel pan with butter. |
| 3 | Rub chopped garlic on bottom and sides of basted pan. |
| 4 | Layer sliced, peeled idaho potatoes. |
| 5 | Pour heavy cream to cover potatoes. |
| 6 | Use rubber spatula to mix. |
| 7 | Salt and pepper to taste. |
| 8 | (if potatoes absorb the cream, add more cream to cover potatoes). |
| 9 | Cover and bring to a full simmer in 350! f oven, about five minutes. |
| 10 | Continue to bake in oven at 350! f, uncovered, for 45 minutes or until potatoes are lightly browned and tender. |
