Ingredients:
5 sliceWhole wheat bread, toasted
1/2 cupMilk
1 cupRaw grated carrots
1/2 cupRaisins
3 tbspSugar
1 Egg, separated
1 tbspButter
1/4 tspSalt
Procedures:
1Soak bread in milk.
2Add carrots, raisins, sugar, egg yolk and butter.
3Beat egg whites with salt.
4Fold in bread mixture.
5Pour in greased baking dish and steam 45 minutes or bake for 35 minutes in a moderate oven.
6Serve with lemon sauce or hard sauce.
